My wife and I had just gotten done watching a high school performance across the street, and decided to grab some dinner. We arrived an hour before closing (10pm) expecting the service to be a little upset that we did so. Amazingly, we had one of the best experiences. The staff greeted and seated us promptly. The server was amazing helping both my wife and I decide on what to eat and drink. Our drink glasses didn't have a chance to reach the bottom before being refilled. Our food had a couple of requests that were both met with excellence. We both finished our meals in less than an hour, and promptly exited to allow the staff to clean up and go home. I will be returning to this establishment in the future when I feel like having an American Italian meal again.

I had called this OG at about 7:50PM to place a to go order (a great feature that I love) and told the order taker I simply wanted to orders of Tiramisu. She told me it would be ready in 5 minutes. I drove to OG from the mall (about five mins away) and I went inside and requested to pick up my order. She asked me my name and said it would just be a few more minutes. After waiting until 8:20 (now 30 mins after I called) I had to flag down a server and asked politely if it normally takes 30 mins for two pieces of tiramisu. She called back to the kitchen and then said whomever went to originally check must have forgotten. No offer was made to compensate although she did seem sincere in her apology.

An Olive Garden is an Olive Garden is an Olive Garden, right? Kinda like Mickey Dee's, should all be standard and food same. How can they possible screw it up? They did. Worst meal ever. Even though it was around 2:00 PM and they had a nice, manageable number of customers, yet were not overly busy, our meal took forever and the appetizer arrived with meal, which is incredibly annoying.. The appetizer, bruschetta caprese type had no flavor and really no balsamic vinegar as described. My favorite stand by, ravioli d'portabello, had a completely empty ravioli (think soggy gross one that broke apart during cooking), the sauce was cool, not hot. Hubby's Mediterranean flatbread tastes like a stale refrigerator.

We eat here most time that we come to town. Food has always been prepared to my liking and servers are well trained. Did have a poor server once but haven't seen them again. It happens!

I sat up at the bar for immediate seating since it was just me. The bartender was super amazing and very nice. The salted caramel tiramisu was fantastic after my lunch. However, a bunch of the staff decided it was lunch time and filled the tables behind me to eat. A couple of ladies were splitting a meal they had ordered when another server walked over and said something to the affect of, "Just so you know, you took mine." In a very rude tone. The girls apologized but she said, "There is no sorry." I turned to see what the commotion was and the rude server just glared at me when she walked away.

If I could give this Olive Garden a zero I would. We were greeted and seated quickly. And then we waited.... Waited... Waited. No drink order taken no greeting from our waiter nothing. The couple seated 10 minutes after we were was greeted and served and we were still waiting! This is at 10 pm they were NOT BUSY!!!! We left.

I had salad and soup, neither was really good. The salad had a lot of old looking lettuce leaves on it and the soup did't look very fresh. The Italian soda was too sweat. My server was a great guy and hosts were quite welcoming, good service, not so good food.

Wow - this place is nasty. When you walk in it smells like ferret, and the whole place just feels grimy. Our server was very nice and accommodating, but my water also had a gnat floating in it. I'm not coming back to this restaurant.

We had a great server. Atmosphere was comfortable, however the resteraunt was run down. Food was subpar for the price. I still enjoy the soups and breadsticks but there are better Italian places in town.

Got seated right away at 6:30pm (just two of us). There's usually a wait and Fri/Sat expect a long wait. Server didn't get to us for about 5 minutes so I flagged her. She came by a few minutes later and then the manager followed a minute or two after that. His name was Tony and he apologized that our server wasn't there right away. He basically insisted we get a free appetizer on him! Server was very attentive after that and our glasses were never empty. The atmosphere kinda stinks unless you get a booth but I think the food is reasonably priced and they do have a LOT of servers so I think service is pretty good in that regard. I think if you time your visit right and get a booth this is a great place to eat. Oh yeah, the food was good.

This was THE place to be on a Saturday night in Sioux Falls. Birthdays, anniversaries, family nights out, and US. We were en route from Baltimore to San Francisco and had a $50 gift card. We had never been to an OG before (or since), but this was honestly really fun. It was like being incognito. Everyone was nice, the pasta was tasty, and we left a big tip. Sometimes chain stores, in the right location, can seem "local," not corporate. This was definitely the case here. Try it!

Had soup, salad and bread stick lunch. Salad and bread sticks were great as always. Soup had a little to be desired. Asked for crackers because soup was so thin. Waitress said that they do not carry crackers and that she found that odd because they serve soup. Waiter in our area that kept bringing salads to all of the tables kept asking "would you like fresh grated romaine on your salad?" Some should explain to him that romaine is lettuce and the proper term he was looking for was "Romano" which is cheese. You would think if you were working at an Italian restaurant you would know that.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
